Five generations of Picketts

Established in 1850 by Thomas Pickett during the reign of Queen Victoria, Picketts & Pursers are understandably proud of a truly unique heritage, for 156 years, four generations of the same family have presided over this historic business.

Excitingly 2006 has marked the arrival of the 5th generation, Sarah Pickett, daughter of the current Managing Director and Great, great grandaughter of the orginal founder. Sarah joined the firm shortly after graduating from university having studied design. She is now immersed in further studies in respect of specialist jewellery qualifications, ever concious of her responsibility to continue the family tradition.

2006 has also seen the arrival of a whole host of superb new products. Our jewel collection has surely never been more inviting whilst the luxury Swiss watch brands of Piaget and Ebel have further strengthened our extensive range of International time pieces. The charming and exclusive designs of Lalique Glass have been added to our gift department, desirable and collectable Lalique has long enjoyed a worlwide appeal.

Special emphasis continues to be placed on our search for the rare and the unusual. Our antique department currently enriched with glorious examples by Jaeger Le Coutre and Leuchars of Paris.

Today Picketts & Pursers trades from two prestigious locations in Petersfield and Southampton. Over a century and a half the firm has indeed seen many changes in an every changing world.

One thing however that has remained constant, is our desire to offer a truly personal service to our long standing and valued customers, who have supported us so well over the years.
